What Makes Our School Unique?
Experimenting, questioning, demonstrating, observing, challenging, and collaborating are just a few words that denote what Carter-Lawrence Math and Science Magnet is all about. Carter-Lawrence is a Pre-K through fourth grade school that serves students from various communities in the Nashville area. The staff’s primary desire is to provide a challenging, stimulating, exciting, nurturing learning environment where students can learn not only the academic skills, but develop life skills that move them toward becoming life-long learners. It is a school where students design the questions and seek the answers.
The Carter-Lawrence staff involves itself in many professional development opportunities that support its goal to provide students with hands-on activities with math, science, reading and writing integration. Through support from community organizations and area universities, we are able to provide students with small group instruction. Our students have blossomed and continue to grow academically due to this support.
