The Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools announces a vacancy in the following position:

SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) COACH K-12

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree: Science K-8, Math 5-8 with a minimum of three (3) years experience in teaching science and/or math.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The STEM coach provides job-embedded and ongoing professional development for teachers, staff, and administration. He/she provides support to the principal in data analysis and decision-making relative to professional development. He/she provides guidance for teachers to improve their content knowledge and instructional strategies. The STEM coach will work closely with staff in Curriculum and Instruction. Overall, the job of the coach is to build capacity within the school to meet the learning needs of all students. Successful candidates will have an understanding of the K-12 school environment and a strong commitment to educational improvement.

This position is eligible for Career Ladder.
