Greetings from Mrs. Avalyn Bauer
Antioch High School, Psychologist

What is a School Psychologist?
School Psychologists are trained to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
· I collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for students.
· I assess students for suspected disabilities and/or special education. During this evaluation process, I may ask you how the student is doing in your class, academically and behaviorally, and may observe the student during your class.
· I have materials available for loan:
- Books on eating disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar/depression, adolescent schizophrenia
- CD/DVD set on Tourette Syndrome
- Coach’s kit on concussions in high school sports (including handouts, posters, DVD, and video cassette)
- Various books on instructional strategies, differentiated instruction, etc.
My assignment includes Antioch High School and the Antioch Freshman Academy.
My office is located in B107, on the AHS main campus.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
