Mrs. Russell was born in South Dakota but has lived in Nashville since the age of four. 

She received her Bachelor’s degree in French and International Studies from the University of Evansville in Indiana.  She continued her education at Vanderbilt University, receiving her Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Peabody College.   She is certified in French and American Government and has been teaching at Antioch High School since 1998.

Mrs. Russell LOVES to travel and has visited France six times, including the two trips with Antioch students.  In addition, she has taken a group of students to the French-speaking area of Quebec, Canada.
