Ronna O'Rourke
Linguistics

Welcome!
My name is Ronna O’Rourke, and I teach Linguistics at Antioch High School. I have been teaching English and Reading for seven years. The 2005-2006 school year is my first year teaching in Antioch. I received a BS in Education and an MS in Literacy Education from Central Missouri State University and spent my first five years teaching at a high school in Independence, Missouri before I moved to Nashville. My hobbies are camping, reading , traveling, and spending time with my cat and two dogs.
The Linguistics class I teach is designed to help students read at grade level using the Language! Curriculum that Metro Nashville Schools has adopted. Having excellent communication skills is essential for success in today’s society. My goal is to focus on improving the communication and literacy skills of my students for success in high school as well as after graduation.
Please feel free to contact me at any time.
