Philosophy: We believe that all students need to be able to apply the principles of science and the scientific method to solve problems in everyday life. In order to ensure the success of all students, a balanced science program including the disciplines of physical, life and earth science is needed. The core scientific concepts can be learned and reinforced through hands-on laboratory investigation and experimentation. We want students to be able to communicate scientifically by discussing the scientific ideas involved in a problem, writing coherently about scientific topics, and explaining the processes involved in solving scientific problems.
