Board of Education

The Metropolitan Board of Public Education consists of nine elected members, one member being elected from each of the nine school districts. The term of office is four years with the terms so staggered that no less than four members are elected every two years. In addition, two student advisor representatives from the Interhigh Council serve with the Board.

Regular meetings of the Board of Public Education are held at the Administration Building of Metropolitan Public Schools, 2601 Bransford Avenue, at 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. These meetings are open to the public.
