The MNPS Transportation Department has a specialized team of Safety Investigators who work full-time to ensure the safety of all school bus riders.  If one of our buses is involved in an accident, they are often the first on the scene, where they conduct complete investigations and detailed reports.  They also perform on-site inspections of school bus stops, and work with bus drivers and parents to ensure the safety of students waiting for and getting off of the bus.

However, we also depend greatly on students and parents to be responsible, and not take chances when it comes to school bus safety.  Please be sure to observe all traffic laws when following a school bus, and slow down to the posted speed when driving through a school zone.
